News de la rentrée!

Voila enfin la mise à jour de mon blog !!

Et oui….ca a mis du temps car je n’avais pas de PC pendant 1 mois. Voila donc pour résumer rapidement:


La vie à Shanghai :

Et bien je ça fait maintenant 5 mois que je suis à Shanghai, et ça va pas mal globalement. Y’a quand même des hauts et des bas. En fait je pense que je ne m’habituerai jamais vraiment de toute façon aux contrastes de la vie à ici et il faut faire avec.

Mais je viens de réaliser qu’il ne me reste pas tant de temps que ça ici donc j’essaye maintenant d’en profiter au maximum.

Le temps :

Le temps a radicalement changé en une semaine ! En août et septembre il faisait dans les 35° et c’est passé d’un coup à 20° début octobre, impressionnant !

Le Boulo :

En fait ça va très moyen de ce coté la….

La boite avait de grosses difficultés en Août car nous n’avions pas eu assez de clients dans les derniers mois, du coup mon boss a décidé du jour au lendemain de virer la moitié des personnes, de baisser les salaires de ceux qui restent de 30%, supprimer les primes et changer de stratégie.
Ca a donc pas mal cassé l'ambiance...

D’ailleurs j’ai réalisé qu’on avait vraiment de la chance en France car en Chine on peut être viré d’un jour à l’autre sans raisons, sans préavis, et sans indemnités.

Les potes, les sorties :

Ca va très bien de ce coté la. En fait, c’était la rentrée à l’université début septembre et j’ai rencontré beaucoup d’étudiants très sympas!

La scandinavie en Force avec Matti (Finlande), Magnus (Swe), et Sven (Danemark) :

En plus je suis pas mal sorti ces derniers temps et découvert de nouveaux clubs sympa comme le Pegasus, un club de Hip Hop ou on voit pleins de chinois habillés Gangsta…trop marrant !

Le jeudi soir, c'est toujours bourré de monde au Pegasus :

L’appart, les colocs :

C’est cool, tout le monde va bien et le chat aussi. En fait, c’est Anne Sophie qui a décidé de prendre un chat y’a 3 mois. J’étais un peu réticent au début mais finalement ça va.

Par contre il est assez bizzare, voila sa position favorite pour dormir.... :

Il ne reste plus que 2 semaines de boulo à Olivier chez Carrefour, et il rentre en France début Novembre.

Sinon tous les mois on fait une grosse soirée à l’appart
et c’est vraiment terrible.

Un marriage !

Et bien j’ai eu la chance de participer à un mariage Chinois !!

C’était le 18 sept à Suzhou ; Bob, un ami du boulo s’est marié avec Hélène (de Pekin) qu’il avait rencontré en France il y a 4 ans !

Le mariage se déroulerait dans l’hôtel Sheraton 5 étoiles, avec 240 invités, et Bob m’avait demandé si je pouvais jouer du piano Jazz pour l’occasion, j’ai donc accepté avec plaisir!

Il faudra vraiment que je fasse un article pour expliquer comment s’est déroulé le mariage car c’est vraiment particulier!!

Le Chinois (enfin..la langue quoi :)

Et bien je progresse mais assez doucement. Ca fait deux mois que je prend des cours de Chinois 2h par semaines et donc j'arrive maintenant à me faire comprendre.

J'arrive a faire des dialogues simples, par ex avec les chauffeurs de Taxi mais c'est limité bien sur. Je n'arrive pas à lire mais je reconnais 300 charactères, ce qui est assez utile parfois.

Bon,....c'est déja pas mal ;-)

Les Voyages :

Et bien j’ai commencé à me rattraper de ce coté la !

Mi-Août je suis allé visiter Zhouzhuang une ville d’eau assez jolie près de Shanghai.

Fin aout je suis allé à Guilin qui est un des plus beaux endroits de Chine.

Puis fin septembre je suis allé à Hong Kong et Shenzen pour voir Lionel. C'était vraiment très cool!
Avec Lionel devant le plus haut immeuble de Shenzen.




Hong Kong est également très impressionante, comme un mix entre Asie et Occident:

Le Futur....

Tout d’abord mes parents vont venir me voir pendant 10 jours fin octobredonc on va voyager un peu : Pekin, Grande Muraille, et peut etre Xiamen ou Chengdu.
Ca devrait etre sympa !

Et quand est ce que je rentre alors ??

Et bien à priori je rentrerai chez moi juste avant noël, c’est sur à 90%. Au plus tard le 29 décembre. Puis je resterai sûrement 1 mois ou + dans la région avant de bouger.

Je n’ai pas encore de plans pour le moment, mais je ne veux pas vraiment retourner en Asie. Je n’ai pas beaucoup de contacts pour l’Australie pour le moment. Donc il y a des chances que je cherche un VIE ou stage/job en Europe. On verra bien !

News from Shanghai!

Here is the first english post in my blog !

I know it took me a while but I didn’t have any computer for more than 5 weeks…and ok…I’ve been quite lazy ;-)
Anyway, let’s sum up these last 2 month I spent in China:

Life in Shanghai:

It’s now been 5 month since I arrived in Shanghai and I’m doing fine. Of course, this is not always easy because of the culture and language barrier and I think I will never get used to the huge gap between poor and rich people.

But I just realized there is only 2 month left so I might as well try to enjoy every minute here.

The Weather:

The weather changed a lot in the last weeks. It was 35° in August and September and the temperature suddenly dropped down to 20° in the first week of October….weird!!

@Work:

Well…..this is not going that great at the office.
The activity of selling luxury trips to Europe wasn't working well so the Boss decided 1 month ago to change strategy and fire half of the people + reduce by 30% the salary of the remaining employee.It was a hard period and since then I haven’t felt that great at work.


Friends, Nightlife:

It’s going quite well actually on this side!
Lots of students arrived in early September and I met lot of nice ones + I’m hanging out more often with a few of them.

I also discovered new cools nightclubs like Pegasus which is a HipHop Club where a lot of Chineses dress like Gangstas….so funny!!

The Flat, my roommates:

Everybody is doing fine in my flat. And so is the cat. Anne-Sophie decided to take one 3 month ago. I didn’t think it was a good idea at first but now I’m used to it and it’s fine.

But it has a strange behaviour. Here is its favourite sleeping position:

There is only 2 working weeks left for Olivier at Carrefour, and then he’ll go back to France in the beginning of November.

And every month we’re having a big party at my flat which is really cool!!

Chinese Wedding!

I was lucky enough to be invited to a Chinese wedding!!
It was the 18th of October in Suzhou; Bob, one of my work colleagues got married to Helene (from Beijing). They met in France 4 years ago.

The wedding was at Suzhou Sheraton 5 star Hotel, 240 guests, and Bob asked me if I could play piano, I of course accepted his offer!

I really have to write a whole post with other pictures about the wedding. It was so funny!

Chinese

I’m improving but it takes time. It’s been 2 month since I started taking Chinese lessons twice a week and I can now make myself understandable in Mandarin.

I can have short talks, for example with Taxi drivers. I can’t really read but I can recognize around 300 symbols which is sometimes useful.


Travels:

I didn’t travel a lot at the beginning but I’m now catching up!

In August I visited Zhouzhuang, a nice small town near Shanghai.

In zhouzhuang old streets with Constance and Anne-Claire.

At the end of August I went to Guilin which is one on the most beautiful places in China.

In the north of Guilin, Longsheng ‘s paddy-fields:

In the end of September I went to Hong Kong and Shenzen

Hong Kong is also very impressive, like a fusion between Asia and the Western world.

What next?

First, my parents are coming to visit me for 10 days in the end of October. So we’re going to travel a bit: Beijing, the great wall, and maybe also Xiamen or Chengdu, we’ll see!

So, when am I going back to France?

Well, I should be coming back home before Christmas, the 29th of December at the latest. Then I’ll probably stay 1 month in the South of France before moving away.

I don’t have exact plans for now, but I don’t really want to go back to Asia.
I would really like to go to Australia but I don’t have lots of contacts so far so I may go somewhere in Europe. I will see!
